Flows in CFS for the 3 forks of the American River

How much water is in the river?

Just What is CFS anyway?
CFS stands for Cubic Feet per Second, and it's a measure of the volume of water passing any given point in a river in one second. One cubic foot of water weighs 62.5 pounds./

Dear Jon, Nancy and American Whitewater Expeditions!

im and I had a GREAT time this past weekend (Aug. 15 & 16) Our guide was Josh (one of your Georgia Boys) he was terrific. We were so glad to have been so graciously accepted into the Hosipital family with Jan and her group, we reaped the benifits of all the goodies Jan shared with her bus and made many new friends. Suzie, our bus driver was wonderful, and the bus trip up and back was really the way to go - no stress, just sit back and relax. Thank you also for setting us up with a nice Cabin Tent, we refer to as our "Ritz on the River" (see pics, which did not capture the chandelier hanging from the center). The location of our tent was perfect, shaded under a big Oak, and close to chow and beer... Yea! Some how, even as close as we were, we never made the front of the line... Which you can see by the pictures, I haven't missed too many meals and certianly didn't go hungry at AWE. Good food, good guides, good company! Thanks again! Hope to make this an annual thing.

Sincerly, C.S.
