American Whitewater Expeditions is pleased to offer first
class camping facilities to enhance your whitewater rafting experience. Let the
stress and tension of everyday life fade away as you enjoy our swimming pool,
play horseshoes or volleyball, or simply sit by the campfire and enjoy the
great outdoors. We can provide you with all the camping gear that you need for
your trip.
Our deluxe base camp sits on a rise
along the river just above Troublemaker Rapid on the South Fork of the American
River. To make your stay with us as comfortable as possible there are FREE hot
showers and complete indoor restroom facilities, a swimming pool, a fishing
pond stocked with bass and rainbow trout, two regulation horseshoe pits, a
regulation volleyball court, flat grass-covered campsites with picnic tables,
and RV spaces with or without hookups. (Hookups only available through
American River Resort).
